My husband and I (and our 3 cats) live in New Jersey, but we own a vacation rental condo and vacation rental home on the Island: http://sanibel-rentals.net

In one respect to help promote our properties, I created a blog on Sanibel with a lot of back links:

But I try to make the blog informational and educational as well. I'm always looking for Sanibel stories to use in my content.

Recognizing that you and other bloggers on this site are entitled to keep your blogs, experiences and thoughts private, I would like to gather anecdotal material about people's secret Sanibel....the things that they discover that help to portray all aspects of the Island and Island life.

If I create a community for Secret Sanibel here would it be a faux pas and intrusion to tell tales out of school and use the material for my own blog?

I don't want to step on any toes and don't know how to go about this to make it enjoyable and rewarding for everyone.

Any thoughts?
