About Jeff

Hi, I'm a new resident here on Sanibel, although I've been coming here since I was 11, first time in 1967. We moved here in February of this year and absolutely love it. I'm a composer of classical music and an Internet programmer and have been setting up networked communities since before the Web (1990).

People have asked, and FYI, this is not some money-making web scheme on my part. This is a community service; something I know how to do and I know how to make it work. Here's another non-profit web community I've set up that has been running since 1994 - NetNewMusic. If you have any concerns about this project, you can call me. I'm in the white pages. Every morning I take a bike ride to Beach Access 7 and take a nice long walk towards Bowman Beach. Say hi if you see me!

Found Four Huge Horse Conchs on the Beach Today!

They were quite heavy, and quite a bit beat up, but one of them is very nice, although still not a perfect specimen. Good garden shells.

Blogging on Sanibel

Not too many bloggers here in paradise it seems, which is cool, it's not too infected yet by the trendiness of the net. Photoblogs, I think could be a lot of fun here. I'd love to see a blog devoted to native plants, or recipes derived from Pine Island local produce, or even a fishing blog.
